Student Assistant (m/f/d) for the Gender Equality Office

We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is enrolled as a Bachelor’s or Master’s student at a German university,
- Has an interest in promoting gender equality,
- An understanding of intersectionality,
- Has very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
- Has very good communication and organizational skills
- Has high motivation and the ability to work in a team as well as independently and without direct supervision
The role:
There are many different tasks you might undertake, depending on your particular background and interests. There will be scope for you to creatively shape the role. Depending on your skillset, some of the things you could be tasked with might include:
- Researching Culture, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies
- Assisting the Gender Equality Officer in the collection, processing, and presentation of data (creation of PPT presentations, Excel overviews, documentation)
- Assisting with the planning, organization and documentation of events (event support, communication, minute-taking and agenda-setting)
- Supporting the implementation of the measures of the Gender Equality Plan of the Institute
- Editorial support for the Equal Opportunities Officer's communication channels
What we offer:
- 20-40 hours per month, depending on the candidate’s preference
- Remote work is possible, regular attendance at the institute is required
- A 1-year contract, with the possibility of extension
- The salary is regulated by collective agreement and amounts to 12.41€/hour for Bachelor and 14.33€/hour for Master students
- A team of highly motivated, international, and interdisciplinary people dedicated to the inclusion of diverse social identities in academic institutions
